Linda Drummond

Linda's passion is to create beauty in many different forms. After a successful career as an internationally recognized award-winning hairstylist and educator, she is now channeling her creative energy into painting. Linda lives in Costa Rica and has sold privately commissioned work as well as participating in local art shows. She is becoming well known within the Costa Ballena art community, particularly for the movement and color in her work. “Creativity is something that is hard to limit. I am an artist that wants to explore every possible avenue that there is to explore in this wonderful world of art. My previous career was as a hair stylist who wasn't content just working behind a chair. I explored every possible adventure it had to offer. I ranged from commercial work to avant garde to fantasy using industry publications and large hair shows in Canada United States and England to present my work. I became a judge for both competition work as well as magazine work. I entered hair competitions and won. I taught on stage, in choreographed shows in large convention centers where stylists paid to learn from me. So … my creativity could not be contained to the world of hair, nor will my creativity be limited in this wonderful world of painting.”

Linda Drummond, an esteemed original resident artist who began her journey with us from inception in April 2022, has recently transitioned into the role of a Guest Artist. This decision allows her to devote more time to her cherished family while continuing to indulge in her artistic passion, painting at her leisure and engaging in the joy of pickleball with her community in Ojochal.

During her tenure at Galeria 1084, Linda proved to be an invaluable asset, contributing immensely to our artistic endeavors. While her presence as a resident artist will be missed, we are incredibly privileged to continue showcasing her remarkable talents both in-store at Galeria1084 and through our online platform. Linda's dedication and artistry remain an integral part of our gallery, and we are honored to perpetuate her legacy within our artistic community.
